As Senior Vice President, Pat provides employee benefits consulting services to employers throughout the United States, specializing in self –insurance, group purchasing arrangements, financial modeling, compliance, benefits outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions and employee education specifically to large employers, municipal groups, and colleges and universities.
 
He began in the employee benefits industry working in the financial and underwriting departments of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and later Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan. Prior to joining Longfellow, he was a senior employee benefits consultant with Fidelity Investments, Hewitt Associates and Watson Wyatt Worldwide.
 
He earned a BSBA in Accounting and Management from Northeastern University and an MBA in Taxation from Bentley College. He is a licensed life, health, and property casualty insurance broker and consultant. He has attained the professional designations of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC), and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). Pat is also a Licensed Insurance Advisor (LIA).
 
He is a member of several national and local employee benefits organizations and has spoken locally and nationally on employee benefits issues. He has also been quoted in numerous newspapers magazines and other publications.   He is an Adjunct Instructor in Suffolk University’s Corporate Education program and at The American College. Pat is also a regular co-host on the “McNamara on Money” radio show.
 
Pat has also served the community as a past member of the Finance Committee in the Town of Hull, a past Chairman of the Advisory Board in the Town of Norwell, and he currently serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals in Norwell as a Special Alternate Member for Affordable Housing.
