“Longfellow Benefits is the perfect example of an HPO. It has achieved highly profitable growth in spite of the recession,” said André de Waal, Ph.D., academic director of the center and an associate professor at the Maastricht School of Management. “Its strength lies in its service model: absolutely everything is oriented towards satisfying and retaining customers.”
The independent study was conducted during the months of June and July, 2010, and involved interviewing employees and clients of the firm. Additionally, each employee was asked to complete a comprehensive survey that covered several areas of performance measurement such as management quality, openess of communication, action orentiataion, and sustainability.
The Longfellow Benefits case will form an inspiring chapter in the English version of de Waal’s HPO book to be released in 2011.
